FC Platinum cemented their position at the top of the PSL standings with a 1-nil victory over Highlanders on Saturday, stretching their lead at the summit to 6 points.

Victory took FC Platinum’s points tally to 44 points, 6 ahead of Ngezi Platinum whose downward spiral continued with a 3rd consecutive defeat at the hands of Black Rhinos.

Defeat left Ngezi 6 points adrift of FC Platinum on 38 points.

DeMbare’s revival continued with a 2-1 win over Nichruit at Rufaro stadium propelling the Glamour Boys to 10th position with 20 points.

In other encounters on Saturday, Bulawayo City edged Mutare City 1-nil with Herentals and Shabanie Mine playing out a 1-all draw.

On Sunday, Harare City was in top form with a 3-nil win over Yadah FC cementing the Sunshine Boys place in the top 8. 

Tatenda Tumba impressed for Harare City providing the opening goal before chipping in with an assist in Sunday’s comprehensive victory.

Elsewhere Caps United overcame Chapungu 2-nil with ZPC Kariba getting the better of Bulawayo Chiefs by a similar scoreline.

Chicken Inn posted yet another win after registering a 1-nil victory over Triangle.
