A senior Zanu PF official has urged those in strategic leadership positions to fully understand their roles to strengthen the party ahead of the impending constitutional referendum and elections.

Central Committee Member, Cde Lloyd Bhunu was speaking at a workshop held for political commissars from Harare Province’s various branches and districts in Chitungwiza on Saturday.

Cde Bhunu said it is only through knowing one’s duties and mandate that they can carry out their work efficiently ahead of the impending constitution referendum and general elections.

Chimoio District Chairperson, Cde Anyway Chikuni said the workshop was helpful as there had been overlapping of duties as people were sometimes carrying out duties not entailed in their portfolio.

The workshop was also aimed at explaining any questions pertaining to party structures.

In attendance was Harare Province Chair, Ambassador Amos Midzi, Central Committee members including Cde Tendai Savanhu, political commissars and party cadres.
