arthur mutambara 19.07.12 ed.png Deputy Prime Minister, Professor Arthur Mutambara says lack of resources is constraining government service delivery and also affects public servants morale.

Professor Mutambara was addressing delegates at the launch of Africa Public Service Day at a local hotel in the capital.

While urging efficient and professional service delivery, the Deputy Prime Minister said government should note that without the public service, the nation cannot function.

“Without the public servants there is no government,” said Professor Mutambara.

Zimbabwe joined other nations on the continent in celebrating Africa Public Service Day, an event first conceived by the first Pan-African Conference of Ministers of Public Service in Tangier, Morocco in 1994.

The event was launched under the theme “Capacity Development for the Implementation of the African Charter on the Values and Principles of Public Service and Administration in Zimbabwe”.
