chombo ignatius 04.10.11.jpgLocal Government, Rural and Urban Development Minister Ignatius Chombo has implored former students to support educational institutions that have moulded them into successful citizens.

Dr Chombo said this at the donation of water pipes and two plasma screens to Kutama College by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA).

Speaking at the handover ceremony, ZTA Chief Operating Officer Givemore Chidzidzi said his organisation is partnering with local institutions in an effort to promote domestic tourism.

Dr Chombo, who is also Kutama Old Boys Association (KOBA) member, said it is their duty as former students to plow back to Kutama College, an institution which has contributed in the moulding of high profile figures in society.

The Zvimba East House of Assembly Member, Cde Walter Chidhakwa said KOBA is making efforts to develop Kutama College into an eco-friendly institution, hence the donation of water pipes.

Kutama College boasts of having produced some of the country’s greatest academics and leaders, including Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe.
