Some ZBC News and Current Affairs staff this Saturday donated blood at the National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ) head office in Harare.

This follows encouragement by the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe for Zimbabweans to kindly donate blood.

ZBC Assignment Editor, Albert Chekayi and Reporter Janet Munyaka said the move aims to inspire other journalist to do the same.

Constance Makoni and David Mkhuhlane urged people to donate blood as it saves life.

They called on people to support the donor mobilisation campaign by the NBSZ to increase the national donor blood bank.
