Tourism marketing team back from Iran |

The 8-member Tourism Marketing, Development and Promotion Team that was in Iran for 7 days on a fact finding mission is back in the country, with information and recommendations the country can implement to revive, re-brand and repackage the tourism products.
Speaking at the conclusion of the 7-day visit, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Cde Walter Mzembi said if Zimbabwe is to take lessons from Iran, the government should take a direct role in tourism development by quickly looking into the practical work to facilitate the implementation of all agreements signed with friendly countries.
Iranian Vice President and Chairman of the Cultural Heritage, Handcraft and Tourism Organization, Mr. Mohmoud Baghaie and Head of the Cultural Commission of Iran Parliament, Mr. Hadad Adel said Iran will stand by the people of Zimbabwe against its detractors.
In a gesture to honor President Mugabe’s revolutionary credentials against colonialism and exploitation, the Iranian Post Office printed and made suggestions of a joint postal stamp that can be circulated in the two countries.
