The Zimbabwe Development Party (ZDP) says it has suspended operations as a stand alone political movement and will work closely with Zanu PF after realising that the revolutionary party is the only movement with a developmental agenda for Zimbabwe.
The party’s president, Mr Kisnoti Mukwazhe (pictured) told ZBC News that his party has suspended operations in line with the realisation that there is need for Zimbabweans to work together.
Mr Mukwazhi said his party will be working closely with Zanu PF to ensure that the revolutionary party gets the full mandate to represent the people that it previously ceded after losing some seats in parliament.
ZDP was formed in 2008 and contested polls that year but did not get a single seat.
