The Registrar General (RG), Tobaiwa Mudede says the mobile voter registration is going on well and there is a positive response to the exercise. According to figures shown to the ZBC News, the number of people turning up for registration has been increasing everyday, with 6722 people visiting the centres on the first day and 9602 on the second day.

The Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe has called on Zimbabweans to observe peace before, during and after the harmonised elections expected this year.
Addressing mourners gathered in Manicaland for the burial of Ambuya Matadzisei Tangwena, President Mugabe urged Zimbabweans to desist from violence starting from primary elections that are currently being held across political parties.
“During the elections we don’t want violence. During the primary elections we don’t want any infighting.”
