 Soccer fans have hailed the Zimbabwe Under-20 women’s soccer team’s 4-nil victory over Mozambique in a FIFA Under-20 World Cup qualifier played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
Despite an unconvincing performance, some of the supporters who witnessed the match could not hide their joy.
“I feel very happy with the team’s performance despite an unconvincing performance, but what matters most in football is the score line” said one fan.
However, others highlighted the need for improvement saying the girls were far from convincing despite the win.
“Even though the team has won, there is need for improvement if ever the team is to qualify for FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Russia in August,” added another.
The Young Mighty Warriors will now prepare for the return match a fortnight from now in Maputo.
