God is a progressive God. He is a God of multiplication. He is fruitful. He gives capacity to bear fruit and to increase.
The devil, on the other hand, is against everything Godly. He opposes God every chance he gets. He seeks to destroy the ‘seed’ of the woman so that there is no future. The devil is against hope. He is a prophet of doom.
When God created man in the Book of Beginnings, Genesis, He gave man a clear instruction, which also translates to his vision for mankind: “And God BLESSED them. And God said to them, "Be FRUITFUL and MULTIPLY and FILL the earth and SUBDUE it and have DOMINION...” – Genesis 126
The scripture says it was God’s idea to create man in His image. This means man has the likeness, the qualities as it were, the attributes of his Creator.
I want to highlight that man cannot have dominion without numbers. In Shona they say, ‘Chara chimwe hachitswanyi inda,’ meaning a single finder cannot crush lice. If God meant for man to fill the earth, to be fruitful and to multiply, then surely man cannot achieve such a feat without giving birth to other human beings!
I fail to understand how gays and lesbians can fit in this plan. They are totally out.
The idea behind homosexuality is simple: to stop reproduction and the replenishment of the earth.
God is fresh. He seeks the replenishment of earth, which is why people die and new ones are born. I fail to understand why gays and lesbians want to adopt children. Whose children? If they want children let them produce their own!
Clearly, the idea of homosexuality is anti-God and anti-Christ because it implies that in 50 years’ time the earth will be full of adults only, same-sex couples without a single child! Think about it.
I was shocked last night to learn that our own Prime Minister, after having seen the light for a moment, chose to go back to his vomit and ‘came out’ declaring his support for gay rights in Zimbabwe’s new constitution.
I was gobsmacked.
Is it about money? Is it about votes? Power? Confusion? What good does homosexuality bring to mankind in general and Zimbabwe in particular? How does the Prime Minister reconcile such wickedness and ‘hunhuism’?
President Robert Mugabe is right. They are worse than pigs and dogs. I want to challenge gays and lesbians to prove to the world that what they do is right. That they feel right about it. That their consciences do not condemn them. That society accepts them as normal. That they can get pregnant. Yes, prove to me.
Back to the Bible.
1 Corinthians 69 says, ‘Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.’
There you have it. God defines homosexual offenders as among “the WICKED.” In Ephesians 511, it is said, ‘And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.’ I want to think that the Prime Minister is a professing Christian. I want to believe that because he became a politician, he has not thrown away his religious values, but homosexuality can never be one of them.
We do not want WICKED politicians in government. We need exemplary leaders.
The men of Sodom were known for their extreme wickedness because of homosexuality. Imagine, Genesis 194-5, 11-13, 24, ‘Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom — both young and old — surrounded the house. They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have SEX WITH THEM.”!
Remember, they had not even committed their shameful acts with the visitors (angels), but the consequences were dire. ‘Then [the messengers from God] struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.’
I think I speak for every Zimbabwean when I say we need leaders who see where they are going. That is why vision is important. It is based on where we are coming from as a people and where we are heading, and how we will get there. If we allow homosexuality in Zimbabwe, then we are selling ourselves to blindness in every aspect.
We will be blind spiritually, because we would have lost out on God’s Will for us as a nation; economically, because our land and its resources will automatically fall into the hands of rich homosexual funders and ‘wicked’ partners; socially, because with homosexuality comes beastiality, incest and many other forms of sexual immorality.
We definitely do not want to go back to the period of the 2007-8 economic hardships and political turmoil, but such foolish decisions as accepting, nationalising, approving and engaging in homosexuality incur God’s destructive judgment. on that note, Zimbabweans should be reminded that fighting against God is tantamount to bringing a curse upon oneself. We can not do anything against, but for, the truth.
Zimbabwe should be known as a nation that upholds morals and values that build families and societies.
Romans 118, 24-28, 32 expounds on this notion: ‘The WRATH OF GOD is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the DEGRADING of their bodies with one another.
‘They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator — who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for UNNATURAL ones.
‘In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their PERVERSION.
‘Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.’
Powerful!
I do not want to preach. I just want us to reflect and to make choices that will affect our future as Zimbabweans. Our education should translate to our actions.
Mr Tsvangirai, whether you agree or not, a human right or not, homosexuality is disgusting before God. Because we have God’s
image, it follows that we should hate what He hates, like what He likes and approves of what He approves of. God says homosexuality is unnatural, it is a deprivation, a degradation, an inflammation, godlessness, wickedness, sinful, false, shameful. Where does your opinion come in here?
Jesus resolved the gay marriage debate once and for all. ‘God made them “male and female ... a man ... [and] his wife". Indeed, this is one of the most compelling Biblical arguments against gays and lesbians. Jesus Christ himself referred back to the Biblical creation account and confirmed God's intent that marriage is to be between a man and a woman.
The issue of having morals and ethics is about decisions we make on a daily basis. There is nothing ‘democratic’ about supporting behaviour that is satanic, demonic, wicked and dehumanising. The imagination itself is sickening.
Please, Mr. Tsvangirai, come back to your senses and be a human being. A normal one.
I do not expect to see any debate on this issue in the new constitution. I did not expect a whole Prime Minister to bow so low as to identify with pigs and dogs, ah sorry animals – with humans who are worse than pigs and dogs!
