Dr Muchena said the Bill is a unifying force amongst organisations involved in women affairs as it allows coordination in various issues that involve women.

Members of Parliament, Mrs Evelyn Masaiti and Mr Kizito Chivamba said the Bill will go a long way in addressing the status and welfare of women.

In coming up with the Bill, the Ministry consulted stakeholders and visited neighbouring countries to come up with a comprehensive document that deals with women issues.
