Harare residents have implored the Harare City Council to come up with a master plan which will address the water situation that has seen most suburbs in the capital going for weeks without the precious liquid.
Harare residents have resorted to sinking boreholes in their backyards following the failure by the city fathers to supply water continuously.
A survey carried out by ZBC News in some parts of the capital have revealed that burst pipes are being left unattended, leaving treated water to gush freely at the expense of the residents who are scrounging for the precious liquid.
Residents implored the city fathers to come up with a master plan which will address the water situation once and for all.
They say they are suffering while treated water is being left to flow freely.
Budiriro, Mabvuku, Glen View, Dzivarasekwa, Kuwadzana Phase 3, Glen Norah and Highfield are some of the high density suburbs that go for weeks without water.
Whereas water is supposed to be a basic right for the residents of these areas, clean treated water has become luxury.
