zinara.jpgThe Zimbabwe National Road Authority (ZINARA) has said it will not extend the 31st of May deadline for the new vehicle license discs as it does not have the mandate to do so.

ZINARA Head of Communications, Mr Augustine Moyo told ZBC News that the parastatal will not extend the deadline as per the requirements of the Vehicle Licensing Act.

Motorists, who spoke to ZBC News, accused ZINARA for giving them very little time while also citing slow service at the licensing outlets.

ZINARA says it is currently licensing an estimated 2500 vehicles per day since the onset of the operation.
