The Church of Christ in Zimbabwe first conducted a clean-up exercise at Kuwadzana Poly Clinic under the theme ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness - Keep the environment clean’ before handing over an assortment of goods.

Church elders said they had taken it upon themselves as the church to set a good example and pledged to conduct more campaigns to keep the environment clean.

Receiving the donation, Mrs. Lucy Margret Vinga commended the goodwill initiative by the Church of Christ in Zimbabwe saying the goods will improve sanitation within the wards.

Church officials said their initiative also aims to prevent outbreaks of diseases such as cholera and typhoid.

The goods donated included detergents and cleaning utensils, bedding linen and food stuffs among other items.

"I am here for as long as I am still sane, with good memory and will power. I thank God for giving me extra strength. I still have a bright mind; I still have will. I know our history more than you do. I know the wishes of those heroes and those who lie elsewhere more than you do. I know the wishes of the chiefs, dead and alive." - At 6th Zanu PF National People's Congress, 2014.
