Forty-four students from Nyatsime Boarding College in Chitungwiza have been suspended over allegations of indecent acts.
Nyatsime Boarding College in Chitungwiza has been rocked by sex scandals which have resulted in 22 boys and 22 girls being suspended.
It is alleged the 22 boys were caught at night being intimate with the female students in the girls’ hostels.
However, some parents who spoke to ZBC News off-camera accused the Principal identified as Mr. Nyagato of mal-administration, arguing that the big number of students alleged to be undisciplined can only be a result of failure on the part of the School Head.
When ZBC News visited the College, the Principal refused to shed light on the issue referring all questions to the District Education Officer who in turn referred this crew to the Provincial Education Director.
When the Provincial Education Director for the Harare Metropolitan Province, Mr. Calvin Mazula was contacted, he said his office has already dispatched a team of officials who are carrying out investigations on various issues at the college.
Sometime this year, a Form 4 student at the school died while several others were hospitalized after a suspected diahorrea outbreak at the college.
The disease outbreak was linked to the failure by the school authorities to provide clean water.
