Nigeria's Civil Aviation Authority has suspended the operational licence of DANA Air Company after one of its planes crashed in a busy Lagos suburb, killing at least 153 people.
The authority’s spokesperson, Sam Adurogboye told journalists that they had suspended the air company’s licence to allow investigation and until they carry out its recertification.
The commercial aircraft was flying from the Nigerian capital, Abuja, to Lagos when it crashed and burst into flames.
Meanwhile, the country's lawmakers have called for the head of the Civil Aviation Authority to step aside while they carry out an investigation.
