egyptians strike.jpgEgypt says the country has not lost control of its revolution and hopes the presidential run-off poised for June 16-17 will complete the process begun when former President Hosni Mubarak was overthrown.

Egyptian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr Bassem Khalil told ZBC News that the presidential run-off in that country will be the final completion of the reformed political process.

Mr Khalil also lashed out at what he called exaggerated media reports saying reportage of what is taking place in that country has not been balanced.

“We are in control of our revolution and we hope the run-off we will have is going to complete our process,” Ambassador Khalil said.

After the run-off which is expected to come up with a new president in Egypt, the ruling military council is expected to hand over power to a civilian government.
