Mbare Chimurenga releases 3rd album |

 Popular jit group, Mbare Chimurenga Choir, has released an 8-track album titled Gushungo Excellent.
This is the third album the 40 member Mbare Chimurenga Choir has released.
Most of the songs on the album urge Zimbabweans from all walks of life to remain focused in safeguarding the goals of the liberation struggle.
Songs that feature on the album include Nyika Ino Inotongwa NaGushungo, Wish YeMagamba, Muzimbabwe Tererai, Gushungo Excellent and VaMugabe Vanopa, a song that shows President Mugabe’s support to indigenous Zimbabweans through empowerment programmes.
The video of MuZimbabwe Tererai was shot at the National Heroes Acre.
Mbare Chimurenga Choir director Elizabeth Bwanya said people must learn from the country’s history and follow the leadership of President Mugabe whose wish is to safeguard the country’s independence.
The group released its first album Nyatsoteerera in 2010 before following it up with Mahwindi in 2011.
All the albums were produced by Amos Mahendere.
