Kariba legislator, Clopas Machacha, who was facing charges of abuse of Constituency Development Fund (CDF), has been released.
Machacha was released by the Attorney General’ office this Thursday and sources say the case will proceed by way of summons.
Information gathered by ZBC News show that the dockets for the three law makers who were arrested were not complete and the prosecution authority wants all cases involving abuse of Constituency Development Fund by the legislators to be brought to court after all investigations have been completed.
The Anti-Corruption Commission arrested four legislators on allegations of abuse of the CDF.
However, three lawmakers who include Marvelous Kumalo of St Mary’s, Franco Ndambakuwa of Magunje and Albert Mhlanga of Pumula constituency were released on bail by the courts.
