harare-magistrates-court.jpgSt Mary’s House of Assembly Member, Mr. Marvellous Khumalo who is facing charges of abusing the Constituency Development Fund has been freed on US$300 bail.


Khumalo has been asked to report to the Anti-corruption Commission once a week as part of his bail conditions.


The State, led by Mr. David Magwegwe alleges that Khumalo abused US$30 000 meant for developing his constituency and diverted it to his personal use.


It is further alleged that Khumalo took part of the money and bought a truck which he was hiring out for his personal gain.


He is understood to have made councillors to sign blank withdrawal slips and withdrew more than US$25 000 from constituency development account and converted it to his personal use.
