 Police are looking for the whereabouts of 82-year old Fanuel Muganu of Beleview Farm in Goromonzi district, who is alleged to have murdered his 43-year old wife.
The accused is employed at the farm as a security guard. He allegedly left home for work at 1700hrs and returned home at 2000hrs armed with an axe and struck his wife on the head and below the right ear.
She died immediately after and her body was found by their ten year old son.
Mashonaland East Provincial Police Spokesperson, Surgent Tendai Mwanza present at the scene confirmed that the two are said to have had a long standing dispute over the wife’s alleged extra marital affair.
