The business community says the full implementation of the indigenisation and economic empowerment programme marks the success of economic emancipation as envisaged by the country’s citizens.
In an interview wit ZBC News, some members of the business community said the empowerment programme demonstrates government’s commitment to fulfilling goals that freedom fighters fought for.
An industrialist, Mr Danny Musukuma said the business community in Zimbabwe benefitted immensely from the sacrifices of the fallen and living heroes.
Economic commentator, Mr Rutendo Rutendo said owning the means of production is a milestone achievement that the local business community should cherish.
On Monday, the country commemorates Heroes Day.
The main event is at the National Heroes Acre in Harare while other events will take place at various provincial heroes acres across the country.
