Christmas came early for children and newly born babies hospitalised at Harare Central hospital after missionaries from a Christian organisation donated hygienic packs, blankets and toys worth thousands of dollars.
It was all smiles for the mothers and the children who received an assortment of Christmas presents from missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Some mothers and children who spoke to ZBC News after receiving the donations were grateful for the presents and they thanked the missionaries for the donation.
The Public Relations Officer for Harare Central Hospital, Mrs Philisia Mandeya commended the missionaries and encouraged them to continue with their good work, whilst Elder Boone, one of the missionaries from the United States of America said Christmas is a time for giving and as a church it is upon them to set the pace.Â
The missionaries who are over a hundred in number are drawn from all over the world and they are doing charity work and donating to the needy, they also donated clothes and other goods to Harare children’s home.
