Eight New United Apostolic Church choral groups battled for top honours at the church’s headquarters in Waterfalls, Harare as part of the Easter holiday celebrations.

Mainway Meadows Assembly emerged winners at the church’s annual choral music competitions that saw eight teams from Harare, Mashonaland East, Mashonaland Central and Manicaland provinces taking part.

Founder of New United Apostolic Church, Bishop Steven Mangwanya and Pastor Ronald Museka concurred that music has the power to engage the emotions and draw people’s attention to the word of God.

Last year’s winners Buhera Assembly emerged the 4th.
