papa new guinea flag.gifA group of soldiers in Papua New Guinea say they have taken control of the military and are demanding the reinstatement of the ousted Prime Minister.
The mutiny, involving 12 to 20 soldiers, took place early Wednesday morning in Port Moresby.

The group have placed the defence chief under arrest.

The incident is linked to the conflict between Peter O’neill and Sir Michael Somare, who have been wrangling over the role of Prime Minister for six months.
