A new art gallery has been opened in Somaby area of Norton.

 The gallery is collaboration between Dzimbanhete Art and Culture Interactions and United States of America’s Cantica Tabacaru Gallery.

the gallery is housed in a tall building being constructed overlooking a valley with the inscriptions Vox Populi which is Italian meaning of voice of the people.

Representing Dzimbanhete Arts and Culture Interactions Chikonzero Chazunguza said this is a new baby in the arts industry which is going to be a centre for a number of arts exhibitions, while US artists spoke highly of the new centre.

“We are happy about this collaboration and it’s a milestone achievement in the arts industry,” said Chazunguza.

During the opening of the exhibition, a number of sculptures were on display at a gallery that was designed by Rachel Monosov.

The opening ceremony exhibition saw eight artists from Germany, France, Israel, Nigeria, Surinam, US and Zimbabwe participating.
