karikoga kaseke 22-03-11ed.jpgStakeholders in the tourism industry say the coming of  a new international airline to Harare is set to play a critical role towards the transformation of the industry through increased receipts.

Comments by tourism stakeholders come amid indications that a new international airline will starting from next week, ply the Harare-Asia route five times a week hence the anticipated increase in tourism traffic.

The Managing Director of a Harare-based travel agency, Ms Zodwa Mutunzi, said the coming of the new airline to Zimbabwe shows the confidence that the world has on the local tourism industry hence the need for stakeholders to continuously work towards improving service delivery.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive, Mr. Karikoga Kaseke, said the development will result in the improvement of tourism inflows as more tourists are expected to visit the country which is an attractive destination.
