State owned mobile telecommunications giant, NetoOe has reimbursed over 180 000 subscribers with 150 megabites of data.
The move follows a directive by the Postal and Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) to refund consumers who had raised flag over the dysfunctional one fusion bundles.
NetOne Acting CEO, Mr Brian Mutandiro confirmed to the ZBC News, the operator has complied with the POTRAZ directive.
“We are doing our best but indeed we have complied with the directive to ensure that over 180 000 subscribers are compensated on time,” he said.
The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Clever Isaya said the operator has rectified mistakes that lead to subscribers being shortchanged.
“The mistake has been rectified and we are now concentrating on new ethical foundations of the business,” he said.
In a related development, the mobile operator will soon be recapitalising some of its projects.
