State owned mobile telecommunications firm, NetOne has started employing 20 000 young people under the ‘Basa Sebasa’ initiative as part of its expansion project.
The NetOne expansion project financed by a US$218 million China Eximbank facility has culminated in the roll out of 20 000 new employment opportunities.
The first batch of 2000 young employees began work in Harare this Friday (today).
NetOne chief executive officer, Mr Brian Mutandiro took time out to interact with the brand ambassadors and customers highlighting the operator wants to ensure all Zimbabweans can communicate at affordable rates.
Consumers took time to give feedback to the mobile services provider particularly the one fusion package.
Under the ‘Basa Sebasa’ initiative, 2000 jobs will be created in each of the country’s ten provinces as NetOne moves to increase its market share and fulfill the ZIM ASSET targets.
