zimbabwe tourism zone.jpgThe visiting tourism operators from Netherlands have pledged to promote Zimbabwe in their country, having realised that the country is safe and has attractive packages to offer.

The visit by tourism operators from Netherlands comes as a follow up to Zimbabwe’s participation at the Asian Tourism showcase held in Singapore in October 2011.

Speaking after the tour of the country, leader of the delegation and founder of Haye Incentive Travel of Netherlands, Mrs. Ingrid Hayes said the delegation is impressed by the country’s tourism attractions among them the pristine wildlife, the Victoria Falls, the Eastern Highlands and the Great Zimbabwe.

She said once back in the Netherlands, the delegation will work on promoting Zimbabwe as the country is safe contrary to perceptions in Western countries.

The ZTA Executive Director Destination Marketing, Mrs. Tesa Chikaponya expressed confidence in the destination Zimbabwe and the products that it can offer to the visitors, particularly from the European market.

The visit by the leading operators from Netherlands comes at a time traditional markets are opening up and are now eager to re-engage Zimbabwe.

The tour covered areas such as Nyanga, Mutare, Harare, Masvingo, Gweru, Bulawayo, Matopo, Hwange and Victoria Falls.
