Over 500 delegates are expected to grace the 11th edition of the annual National Economic Consultative Forum (NECF) business symposium which will focus on harnessing linkages for industrialisation.

Government officials, co-operating partners, research institutions, civic society and labour officials are expected to attend the annual business gathering to be held tomorrow on the sidelines of the on-going 58th edition of the annual Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).

NECF chief economist Mr Goodwin Murewa is upbeat the gathering will see the development of clear strategies aimed at strengthening the key enablers such as energy, water and infrastructure in promoting industrialisation and sustainable growth.

Among other things the symposium will focus on critical sectors such as agriculture, construction and infrastructure development, education, professional and entrepreneurial development, information, communication technologies, manufacturing, mining and tourism.

The business conference also seeks to rally all state and non state actors in developing strong partnerships towards the realisation of Southern African Development Community and African Union industrialisation vision.
