Alderman Ndou has been voted as Beitbridge Rural District Council (RDC) chairperson.
The new office bearer has vowed to champion development in the RDC promising to be a loyal servant.
Ndou who polled 9 votes against Councillor Joseph Muleya who got 5 thanked all who supported him to land the post.
The process which was overseen by Beitbridge District Administrator Mrs Kelibone Ndou was held at the RDC chambers.
RDCs are administered under the Rural District Councils Act.
Beitbridge district council has 15 wards and 14 of them were won by the ruling Zanu PF while one was won by the MDC Alliance.
