Seasoned industrialist and businesswoman Devine Ndhlukula has assumed Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC) presidency during the just concluded annual general meeting held concurrently with the industry representative body’s 2017 congress taking place in Victoria Falls.

The 2017 ZNCC annual general meeting has ushered in a new executive set to stir the industry lobby group for the next term with the Securico managing director and decorated industrialist Ndhlukula taking over the presidency from the outgoing president Davison Norupiri.

The new ZNCC president has since stressed the need for the private sector to complement government in enhancing the competitiveness of the domestic economy and embracing entrepreneurship.

Captains of industry attending the ongoing congress have challenged the non-political organisation’s new executive to strengthen the lobby group’s mandate in driving economic growth and enhancing the competiveness of the local industry.

Among other issues, the annual congress have seen delegates highlighting the need to strengthen the economic reform drive, harnessing the special economic zones in the Zimbabwe economic growth story and sound policy interventions to spur increased agriculture activities.
