Zanu PF chief whip, who is also Gutu Central National Assembly member Cde Lovemore Matuke, says the development of the nation should not be left to politicians alone, but everyone has a role to play.

Cde Matuke told villagers in Gutu Central that the government is there to create an enabling environment for business to thrive.

He said if Zimbabweans emulate President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s work ethic, the nation’s economy will soon recover.

Cde Matuke was speaking during a meeting for villagers who have been doing various projects through a revolving fund project which he initiated to better the lives of the rural folk.

The Gutu Central MP said the government will now be strictly monitoring the Constituency Development Fund which is allocated to legislators to develop their constituencies, adding this will ensure the money reaches the targeted beneficiaries.

Villagers from Gutu Central have in the past two years managed to purchase solar panels and household gadgets after being assisted to create a revolving fund by Cde Matuke.

Earlier this year, they were given chickens to breed and used the proceeds to purchase groceries.
