Zimbabwe national soccer team midfielder, Marvelous Nakamba returned to action for Club Brugge in the 83rd minute of the game against Anderlecht in the championship round of the Belgian league, which saw Club Brugge winning 1-0.

Warriors head coach, Sunday Chidzambwa will be encouraged by news of Nakamba’s return to action after coming on as a second half substitute in Belgium following weeks on the sidelines owing to injury.

Nakamba’s last competitive encounter was on 2 March when Club Brugge overcame St Truidense 1-0.

Since then, Nakamba was sidelined by injury, including the Warriors 2-0 victory over Congo Brazzaville at the giant National Sports Stadium on March 24.

While Nakamba made his way back to action, Khama Billiat was kept on the sidelines in South Africa owing to a thigh strain.

Billiat was involved in a car accident and could not feature in Kaizer Chiefs’ defeat to Bloemfontein Celtic over the weekend.

The Warriors will be hoping Billiat returns to action as Zimbabwe gears up for AFCON participation.

Billiat was a key part of the Warriors AFCON qualification journey with crucial goals away to Congo Brazzaville and at home to the same opponents.
