The National Arts Council, NAC, has sent a message of condolence to the Mandizvidza family following the death of award-winning journalist and ZBC Voice of Zimbabwe Assignments Executive, Joseph Mandizvidza who died in a car accident on Saturday last week.
In a statement, NAC said Mandizvidza had over the years developed a passion for the arts and culture and would always report objectively.
Mandizvidza’s hard work saw him receiving two National Arts Merit Awards in the Outstanding Media-Radio Category.
NAC said Mandizvidza will be sadly missed and expressed their hope that his trademark at the Voice of Zimbabwe will be treasured by those who remain so they can carry on the work he was doing.
Mandizvidza died in a car accident outside Selous, 80 kilometres from Harare after the car he was travelling in burst its rear tyre and overturned.
He was buried on Tuesday in Gweru.
