“Mwenezi East is a big constituency and so i have a mammoth task. But am ready to work for the people and with the people,” said Cde Omar.

Mr Kudakwashe Bhasikiti of the ZimPF told the media that his party is confident of winning the by election.

Mr Bhasikiti who was expelled from ZimPF last week by the interim president Dr Joice Mujuru says he has the right to use the party name arguing that Dr Mujuru had no legal basis to expel him and his counterparts.

“We will be having a new interim president very soon. By the end of next week we should tell you who our new interim president will be. Mujuru is free to be a card carrying member,” said Mr Bhasikiti.
