Stephen Muzhingi is in great shape and is training hard to face Olympic Games defending champion, Haile Gebrselassie of Ethiopia at the London 2012 Games.

Muzhingi takes the London 2012 Olympic Games seriously and believes they will change his life.

Stephen Muzhingi is the current Comrades Marathon Champion after winning consecutive races in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Muzhingi recorded the second fastest time in 2009, when he clocked 5 hours 23 minutes over an 89.17km race.

He also boasts of 4 gold medals for the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon race and is one of only three people who have won the Comrades Marathon three times in a row.

 

This year, the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe honoured Mizhingi for doing the nation proud after he won the Comrades Marathon for the third time in a row.
