Film producer and director, Amanda Ranganawo, who directed ‘Sins of the Father,’ and ‘All She Wants,’ is now working on two new short film series, taking advantage of the Zimbabwe Digital Programme.
It all started at Dangamvura Primary School in Mutare, where the passion for acting and writing short stories was discovered.
Years later, enrolling at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) for a Theatre Honours Degree Programme further assisted Ranganawo to develop his inborn talent.
Today, Ranganawo has set her eyes into developing a vibrant film industry in Mutare and Manicaland Province as a whole.
Amanda has taken advantage of the Zim-Digital Programme and is now working on a new comedian short film titled: ‘Pabasa Pedu,’ which focuses on entrepreneurship.
Ranganawo derives her passion and inspiration from day to day social issues, and themes of love, betrayal and power are more dominant in her productions.
She believes that the support that has been created through the Zim-Digital Programme will develop the film industry to competitive and professional levels.
