presidentsbirthday.jpgThe 21st February Movement Fundraising Committee says everything is now in place ahead of the President’s birthday celebrations scheduled for Sakubva Stadium in Mutare this Saturday.

All roads will be leading to Sakubva Stadium this Saturday for what has been dubbed the birthday bash of the year.

Chairman of the 21st February Movement Fundraising Committee, Cde Tapiwa Matangaidze said all the required resources to hold a successful event have been availed. 

“On behalf of the fundraising committee, I wish to extend our gratitude to the corporate world and some individuals who have donated in cash and kind. We managed to surpass our target and we are hopeful that the event is going to be a memorable one,” said Cde Matangaidze.

A member of the organising committee, who is also Zanu PF Secretary for Youth, Cde Absolom Sikhosana urged Zimbabweans to turn up in their thousands and show their solidarity with Cde Mugabe who is renowned for his wise leadership.

“Everything is now in place and we are inviting people to come in their numbers. This event gives people an opportunity to show their appreciation for everything and all the sacrifices that President Mugabe has done for the people of this country,” Cde Sikhosana said.

The birthday celebrations will be held under the theme ‘Wealth to the Youths, Upfumi Kuvadiki, Inotho Kwabatsha’.

Some invited delegates are expected to start arriving at Wise Owl Hotel in Mutare on Thursday for accreditation.

On Friday, the accreditation process will continue and some delegates will be taken on a sight seeing tour of the province.

On Friday night, a reception dinner and the crowning of Miss 21st February movement will be held before the main event on Saturday at Sakubva stadium.
