In an endeavour to fight and eliminate child marriages and abuse in the country several musicians will tomorrow perform during the 6th edition of the Bindura Arts and Culture Festival at Chipadze Primary grounds in Mashonaland Central Province.

Musicians play a pivotal role in the fight against various social ills in the country through their music which also help people to uphold moral values.

It is against this background that several musicians will join the fight against early child marriages and abuse during the Bindura Arts and Culture Festival to be held this Saturday (tomorrow) at Chipadze Primary School grounds.

Executive chairperson and founder of the festival, Mr Saidi  Umtali noted that the festival also give upcoming musicians a chance to showcase their talents.

Mr Umtali also called upon different stakeholders to unite in the fight against child marriages and abuse.

Mashonaland Central has a high rate of child marriages in Zimbabwe especially on farms, mines and remote rural areas.

This years’ edition will be headlined by Killer T, the Charambas, Simon Mutambi, Progress Chipfumo, David Hondoyedzomba among other musicians.
