Zimbabwean players abroad shone at the weekend with Warriors forward Nyasha Mushekwi scoring a brace in Dalian Yifang’s 2-1 win over Shanghai Shenua.
Bustling forward Mushekwi continues to flourish in the Chinese Super League with two crucial goals steering Dalian Yifang to victory at the weekend.
Mushekwi ensured Yifang got off to a flying start with a well taken header in the 12th minute.
Shanghai Shenua would, however, equalise in the 61st minute courtesy of Liu Roufan.
With the encounter headed for a 1-all stalemate, a cheeky lob by Mushekwi ensured Dalian Yifang grabbed maximum points.
In South Africa Evans Rusike continued to impress.
After getting off to a flying start Rusike was involved in Supersport’s second goal before turning scorer with a well placed finish at the near post.
Rusike was again in the thick of the action providing a second assist as Matsatsantsa ran away 4-nil victors.
Still in the ABSA Premiership after scoring a brace in his last outing Khama Billiat was involved in Kaizer Chiefs second goal with a well placed free-kick headed home as Amakhosi secured a 2-nil win over Amazulu.
