Brimming with confidence on the back of a national team call up, Ajax Capetown midfielder Kharma Billiart continued his good form by grabbing two goals which handed Ajax a memorable 3-nil victory over fellow title contenders Orlando Pirates.
Billiart opened the scoring for Ajax in the 25th minute, slamming home a low drive which went beyond the reach of Senzo Meyiwa in goals for Orlando Pirates.
Billiart doubled Ajaxâ€™s lead in the 54th minute, slotting into the top corner after being set up by Serero. Ajax capped of a fine performance a minute later with a third, courtesy of a 20-yard scorcher from Maluleka. The well worked victory propelled Ajax Cape Town to the summit of the ABSA premiership standings.
In another encounter bustling Warriors striker Nyasha Mushekwi guided Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-nil victory over Vasco Da Gama with a solitary goal at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Mushekwiâ€™s goal came in the 18th minute after receiving a pin point pass from Elias Pelembe before beating Jason Barnard with a low shot. Mushekwi was unlucky not to grab a second when his header went inches wide as the Brazilians cruised to yet another victory which propelled them to second position.
