mourners gathered at the karimanzira residence.jpgScores of people joined farm workers at Colga Farm, owned by the late national hero, Cde David Karimanzira, to pay their last respect to Ishemunyoro Revolutionary Par Excellence, who will be buried at the National Heroes Acre this Sunday.


A somber mood engulfed Colga Farm in Goromonzi, Mashonaland East Province, as scores of people including relatives, farm workers and cabinet ministers broke into tears while other sang revolutionary songs to bid farewell to Cde karimanzira.


Upon landing at Colga farm, the body was taken to his farm house where speaker after speaker chronicled Cde Karimanzira’s uniqueness in handling and executing national duties as well as uplifting lives of many when it mattered most.


Zanu-PF Harare Province Chairman, Ambassador Amos Midzi, said the body of Cde karimanzira will lie in state in his Grange home in Harare this evening.


The body will lie in state at traditional Stodat Hall in Mbare before being taken to the final resting place at the National Heroes Acre.
