More investors eye the information communication technology (ICT) sector in the country with increased numbers of inquiries being made.
As the country is experiencing an influx of investments in strategic sectors, the ICT sector has also not been left out as inquiries have increased, the latest being Dark Fibre Africa which has committed to invest US$60 million over the next 10 years.
The Minister of ICT and Cyber Security, Cde Supa Mandiwanzira, who was recently in Buhera, said his ministry has registered an increase in the number of investment inquires as well as investment worth millions of dollars following the coming into power of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
He added that his ministry is also happy with increased local investment that targets over 350 mobile network base stations across the country as well as expanding e-learning initiatives.
Most ministries are working on their 100 day plans following a directive by President Mnangagwa to produce tangible results within the first 100 days as part of efforts to accelerate economic development.
