One of the country’s finest guitarists, music producer and musician Mono Mukundu has launched his book titled, “Following the Melody” that traces his journey in the music industry.
The book, “Following the Melody” that was edited by Philip Kundeni Chidavaenzi and Samba Mudokwami is about my personal experiences in the music industry and give insights on how upcoming musicians should handle their carriers for the better says Clive Mono Mukundu who is both the subject and author of the book.
Mukundu who is well known for his exploits in the music industry as an outstanding guitarist, music producer and musician says he is broadening his carrier by venturing into book writing and his fans should expect many more books from him in future.
He says the book reveal the struggles, abuses, weakness, frustrations, challenges and the agonies he encountered in his journey in the music industry with the vices being turned into virtues.
Guest of honour during the official launch of the book, Mr Elvas Mari who is the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe director says the move by Momo Mukundu to diversify is the way to go for artists in order to expose their talents in full as well as growing their revenue generation base.
The book launch was spiced up with music as Mono Mukundu entertained hundreds of people who thronged the Zimbabwe College of Music in Harare for the book launch.
The book, “Following the Melody” traces the life of Mono Mukundu from early years until the time he worked with music greats such as Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi and the late Chiwoniso Maraire.
