Mutare Senator, Monica Mutsvangwa has been sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare at State House this Friday morning.
She takes over the position left vacant following the expulsion of Tracy Mutinhiri by Zanu-PF last year.
Cde Mutsvangwa, who was accompanied by her husband Ambassador Chris Mutsvangwa, thanked the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe, her party Zanu-PF and her husband for having stood by her at all times.
She said simplicity and her motherly love are some of the attributes which keep her going.
Present at the ceremony was Vice President Joice Mujuru, Minister of Defence, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa and Deputy Minister of Public Works, Aguy Georgious.Â
Also present were her family members from the Mutsvangwa family and Parirenyatwa which is her maiden surname.
