miss universities 2011.jpgThe Miss Universities pageant has held a workshop for contestants of this year’s edition at a local safari lodge.

The workshop covered topics like motivation, entrepreneurship, modelling and grooming as well as indigenisation and empowerment.

The contestants said the pageant helps them as individuals and as models and the workshop gave them a broader idea of the modelling industry.

On motivation and entrepreneurship, businessman Mr. Philip Chiyangwa addressed the contestants while grooming and modelling topics were taken care of by patron of the Miss Zimbabwe Trust, Mrs Kiki Divaris.

The pageant to be held this Saturday at Ochi City, just outside Harare will see winners being awarded scholarships, lap tops and prize money.

The 10 finalists will automatically qualify for the Miss Tourism Zimbabwe, while the two finalists will qualify for the Miss Universities Africa pageant.
