The Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Professor Mthuli Ncube has forecasted a positive outlook for the country, stating that the current reforms including adjustments on fuel prices are necessary for a new path of economic growth.

Minister Ncube who is currently in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum, remains resolute of a positive outlook for the country.

He explained to CNN’s Richard Quest yesterday that the violent protests witnessed in the country last week were unZimbabwean and will not derail the bold steps adopted by the government for economic turnaround.

Professor Ncube painted an optimistic outlook for the country that entails reduced inflationary pressures to under 10 percent by December this year, a commitment to clear arrears to multinational financiers that include the World Bank and the African Development Bbank, which will set a trajectory for enhanced growth in the country.
