Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe (GMAZ) has raised concern over the existence of unscrupulous business people who are buying maize at US$100 per tonne.

This development does not fit well in the command agriculture programme as farmers were promised that millers will buy their crop at US$390 per metric tonne which GMAZ chairman Mr Tafadzwa Musarara has reaffirmed as the agreed position.

Mr Musarara also assured farmers of the need to be patient and not allow unscrupulous business people to take advantage of their situation to reap them off.

Most parents are struggling to raise school fees which have put some under pressure to trade their produce at giveaway prices which is a worry to government and grain millers.
